CoW Swap DNS Attack Continues Amid Prolonged Domain Lock
CoW Swap is facing a prolonged disruption following a DNS attack that entered its second day on April 15.
The protocol's primary domain, swap.cow.fi, remains locked and inaccessible after attackers redirected traffic to a phishing frontend. Users attempting to access the official interface were instead directed to a malicious site designed to capture wallet approvals.
CoW Swap emphasized that its underlying smart contracts were not affected by the attack and had paused its backend services and APIs as a precautionary measure. However, the incident highlights ongoing vulnerabilities in frontend security in decentralized finance.
