Exchanges Roll Out Refunds Following Record-Breaking Crypto Alpha Event
Crypto exchanges have concluded the largest crypto Alpha event in history, with several platforms announcing refunds and compensation for affected users. According to recent updates, Kraken allocated 4.2786 shares worth $600 per user, while Binance self-funded a $1 million compensation package averaging $40 per user.
Gate.io also distributed a portion of principal on a pro-rata basis, valued at approximately $600 per participant. In contrast, Bitget provided 10 U fee vouchers to its users, and Bybit offered an annualized yield of 10% on four-day deposits.
Interestingly, OKX chose not to offer any compensation or refunds, simply wishing users a good weekend instead. The record-breaking Alpha event has raised questions about the responsibility of exchanges towards their users during times of market stress.
