Coinbase Expands Global Crypto Options Access to U.S. Institutions

Coinbase has expanded its services to include access to global crypto options and perpetual futures markets for U.S. institutional clients.

The new service is provided through Coinbase Financial Markets (CFM), a CFTC-regulated futures commission merchant that operates under CFTC oversight.

This development allows eligible firms to trade with global liquidity, including Deribit markets, without the need for offshore entities.

Deribit options have more than $31 billion in open interest and are widely used by professional traders for hedging and yield strategies.
