Galaxy Launches $5 Million Quantum Shield for Bitcoin

Galaxy has launched a Bitcoin Quantum Readiness Initiative to shield its cryptographic security against future quantum computing threats. The program will provide up to $5 million in grants for developers building post-quantum solutions for Bitcoin.

The initiative targets long-term protection of Bitcoin's cryptographic foundation through funding, research, and expert guidance as quantum technology advances. Galaxy Research will publish studies that explain quantum risks and Bitcoin's possible responses.

Galaxy formed a Quantums Expert Committee to provide expert guidance on timelines and risks for investors, developers, and the broader crypto ecosystem.
