Cardano's Leios Upgrade Aims for 60x Transaction Speed Boost

Cardano's upcoming Ouroboros Leios upgrade is expected to significantly boost transaction speed, potentially rivaling that of the XRP Ledger. According to Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson, the upgrade could increase transaction capacity by up to 60 times, a major improvement over current performance.

The Leios upgrade aims to address scalability issues while maintaining decentralization and security, key principles of the Cardano ecosystem. To test this new functionality, Cardano has begun live testing with its Musashi Dojo testnet.

Hoskinson also discussed other developments within the Cardano ecosystem, including growing institutional interest in the project's beta phase. Additionally, he defended the Midnight City project and highlighted the progress of the agricultural blockchain initiative by the Cardano Foundation.
