Telegram Rebrands TON Token as GRAM, Reviving a Failed Project

Telon founder Pavel Durov has announced a significant development for the TON blockchain: the rebranding of its native cryptocurrency as GRAM. This name may sound familiar, and that's because it was originally used by Telegram during an ill-fated token sale between 2018 and 2019.

The project raised approximately $1.7 billion before being shut down by the SEC. However, community developers revived the project under the Toncoin (TON) branding. Now, Durov is reclaiming both the project and its original identity.
