Morgan Stanley Partners with Coinbase for Bitcoin Custody

Morgan Stanley has taken a significant step in its digital asset strategy by partnering with Coinbase Custody Trust Company to serve as the custodian for its proposed Morgan Stanley Bitcoin Trust, a spot ETF that will hold Bitcoin directly for U.S. investors.

The partnership highlights how large institutions are increasingly relying on both traditional and crypto-native providers to safeguard digital assets. By working with Coinbase, Morgan Stanley gains access to a reputable and specialized crypto custodian that has already underpinned a large share of U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs.
