Ben McKenzie's Documentary Exposes Dark Side of Cryptocurrency Market
Actor and director Ben McKenzie has released a documentary that challenges mainstream perceptions of digital currencies. Titled 'Everyone Is Lying to You for Money', the film explores the cryptocurrency market, revealing what McKenzie believes to be its darker side.
The documentary premiered in New York and Los Angeles on Friday, sparking conversations about the legitimacy of cryptocurrencies such as Trump Coin and Melania Coin. According to McKenzie, these coins are among many speculative investments that often leave investors with significant financial losses.
Beneath the surface of cryptocurrency values lies a complex web of insider trading and market manipulation. Wealthy insiders hold the majority of coins, allowing them to control prices and create an unfair advantage for themselves. This is achieved through practices such as wash trading, which artificially inflates prices by creating false appearances of trading activity.
McKenzie's investigation into the cryptocurrency industry has led him to co-author a book titled 'Easy Money: Cryptocurrency, Casino Capitalism, and the Golden Age of Fraud' in 2023. His research also highlights the connection between former President Donald Trump and the crypto market. Despite initially labeling cryptocurrency as a scam, Trump later expressed interest in its potential, suggesting America could become the 'crypto capital of the world.'
