Federal Reserve Chair Warsh's Swearing-In Fails to Boost Bitcoin Price
The Federal Reserve's new chair, Kevin Warsh, was sworn in on Friday, coinciding with Bitcoin Pizza Day. This annual event commemorates the first real-world Bitcoin transaction in 2010, when 10,000 BTC were exchanged for two pizzas.
However, despite Warsh's reputation as a 'pro-crypto' leader and his investment in over 20 cryptocurrency projects, Bitcoin's price continued to fall below $77,000. This muted reaction has caught retail investors off guard, who were expecting a price surge after Warsh's confirmation.
