MoneyGram Launches Stablecoin on Stellar Blockchain

MoneyGram, a leading global money transfer service provider, has taken a significant step in its digital transformation by launching its own U.S. dollar stablecoin, MGUSD, on the Stellar blockchain.

The rollout of MGUSD marks a major milestone for MoneyGram's stablecoin strategy, which aims to provide users with a seamless and efficient way to send and receive payments.

According to a statement from Anthony Soohoo, Chairman and CEO of MoneyGram, MGUSD is designed for the company's customers, particularly those in emerging markets with limited financial access.
