Marshall Islands Digital Bond Secures $3 Million in Crypto Industry Backing

The Marshall Islands' digital sovereign bond, USDM1, has received significant backing from prominent figures in the cryptocurrency industry.

M1X Global, the organization responsible for the bond, has successfully completed a $3 million angel round of financing. This investment was led by notable crypto industry participants, including former CTO Balaji Srinivasan and Cumberland Labs CEO Tama Churchouse.

The funds raised will be allocated towards increasing adoption of USDM1 in institutional markets. The digital bond, launched on the Stellar blockchain last year, has been subject to scrutiny from international organizations such as the IMF.
