EU Commission Seeks Feedback on Crypto-Asset Regulations
The European Commission has initiated a consultation process to assess the effectiveness of its regulatory framework for crypto-assets. This effort aims to ensure that the EU's policies remain aligned with the rapidly evolving digital asset market.
The Markets in Crypto Assets Regulation (MiCA), implemented in 2024, established a harmonized EU framework for crypto-assets and related services. The commission is seeking feedback on the main elements of MiCA through a public questionnaire for individuals and a targeted questionnaire for those with special interest or involvement in the sector.
The consultation is open until 31 August, and the gathered feedback will inform the commission's future policy work on digital assets.
