Aptos Rides Protocol Upgrades to 3.3% Gain Amid Selective Altcoin Market
Aptos (APT) has seen a modest price increase following protocol upgrades and narrative catalysts. The coin's price rose from $0.58 on July 20 to around $0.62 by late July 22, a 6.87% move.
One of the key drivers behind Aptos' gain is the activation of its high-capacity staker feature, which allows large stakers to run transactions with up to 100x normal processing capacity. This feature targets exchanges, custodians, liquidators, and other large actors, addressing pain points like failed DeFi liquidations and large migrations.
Additionally, the launch of a Pyth USDY price feed on Aptos has strengthened its real-world asset (RWA) and yield narrative. This makes it easier for Aptos-based protocols to onboard USDY into lending markets, collateral systems, and structured products.
