ARK Invest Predicts Bitcoin Will Soar to New Heights in Next Five Years

ARK Invest's CEO Cathie Wood has made a bold prediction about the future of Bitcoin. According to Wood, the cryptocurrency could reach $750,000 to $1.25 million in the next five years, driven by institutional adoption and long-term demand from investors.

The forecast is based on ARK's base-case and bull-case models, which also include the view that Bitcoin can take market share from gold. This shift towards digital assets as a store of value is expected to be led by younger investors who are more likely to treat Bitcoin as a preferred store of value as wealth changes hands across generations.

The growth of stablecoins has reduced some demand for Bitcoin in emerging markets, but ARK expects this trend to continue. The firm's Big Ideas 2026 report projects that the broader digital asset market could expand from around $2.8 trillion to nearly $28 trillion by 2030.
