Tether Backs Mercado Bitcoin with $20M for On-Chain Finance Expansion

Tether has made a $20 million investment in Mercado Bitcoin to support its growth in on-chain finance across Brazil and Latin America.

The funding will be used to expand tokenized assets, blockchain payments, lending, and on-chain capital markets, with the goal of creating open and efficient financial infrastructure.

Mercado Bitcoin has already issued over R$2 billion in tokenized assets and serves 4.5 million users, making it a major player in Brazil's digital finance market.
