Schiff Reconsiders Bitcoin Buy-In, Remains Firm on Bearish View
Economist Peter Schiff has expressed regret over not buying Bitcoin when he first learned about it. However, despite his previous statements indicating that he wishes he had invested in the cryptocurrency earlier, Schiff now claims there's 'not a chance' he'll buy it at any price, including $20,000.
This isn't the first time Schiff has acknowledged missing out on Bitcoin. In 2024, he admitted he wished he had bought into the world's largest cryptocurrency back in 2010 due to its potential profit. Despite this admission, Schiff maintains a bearish view of Bitcoin, believing it is overvalued and destined for significant declines.
Schiff has been vocal about his opposition to Bitcoin, instead promoting gold as a safe-haven asset. He has repeatedly declared that Bitcoin is 'dead' and has lost confidence in its value. While Bitcoin's performance may be higher over the long term, it has indeed lagged behind gold in recent years.
