Bitfire Records Significant Net Loss Despite Accelerating Stablecoin Push
Bitfire, a Hong Kong-based crypto firm, has reported a significant net loss of up to HK$245 million in the first half of this year. This loss is nearly 19 times larger than the company's previous year's loss, which was HK$12.3 million.
The primary contributor to the widening loss is attributed to a decline in the value of Bitfire's held crypto assets, amounting to HK$152 million. Rising expenses tied to professional services, customer capabilities, and research and development also contributed to the shortfall.
