The Ethereum blockchain's top sandwich bot, 'jaredfromsubway.eth', has been drained of $7.5 million by attackers who exploited its automated decision-making logic.

The bot, which became infamous for its role in sandwich attacks, a practice where algorithmic systems front-run and back-run pending user transactions to generate profits at the expense of other market participants, was targeted by an attacker who created a sophisticated scheme targeting its logic.

The attack did not rely on traditional methods such as compromised private keys or smart contract breaches, but instead focused on mimicking high-yield MEV opportunities through fraudulent tokens and liquidity pools that appeared legitimate to the bot's algorithms.

The attacker then used these active permissions to systematically drain the funds, highlighting a critical vulnerability in systems that operate without human intervention.
