Pi Network Unveils AI-Focused Product Releases Amid Transparency Concerns

Pi Network marked its Pi2Day 2026 celebration with a series of new product releases, expanding its ecosystem beyond cryptocurrency into artificial intelligence (AI), decentralized computing, and digital identity.

The announcements highlight the project's growing focus on practical utility, with services aimed at developers, businesses, and users outside the existing Pi ecosystem.

One key launch was SoloHost, a beta platform available through Pi Desktop that allows users and developers to run self-hosted applications directly from their own computers. A notable feature is support for local AI agents, enabling users to process data on their personal devices instead of relying on centralized cloud servers.

Pi Network also introduced Pi Sign-in, a new authentication solution that enables users to access third-party websites and applications using their Pi accounts, eliminating the need for separate usernames and passwords. Additionally, they launched PiVerify, an identity verification platform for businesses that combines AI-powered verification with human review.

Dr. Altcoin, a community analyst, questioned how the reported $100 million Pi Foundation fund has been allocated, stating he has yet to see meaningful financial support reach community developers.
