Bitcoin's potential vulnerability to quantum computers has been a topic of discussion among experts and enthusiasts alike. However, according to Michael Saylor, the executive chairman of Strategy, the threat is not imminent.
In a recent podcast, Saylor stated that the consensus among cybersecurity professionals is that quantum risk is more than 10 years out. He emphasized that there is no current threat or impending danger from these powerful computers.
Saylor also highlighted that the emergence of quantum computers will force every online digital entity to adapt to new Post Quantum Cryptography (PQC) standards. This includes banks, government databases, financial ledgers, and defense systems.
