Solana Foundation Enhances DeFi Security with STRIDE Framework

The Solana Foundation has made a significant move towards enhancing DeFi security by introducing the STRIDE framework. This new initiative aims to provide a standard process for identifying risks, monitoring vulnerabilities, and escalating threats across the ecosystem.

Developed in collaboration with Asymmetric Research, the STRIDE framework assesses protocols in eight key areas, including program integrity, governance controls, oracle dependencies, infrastructure setup, operational practices, supply chain exposure, incident response readiness, and forensic capabilities tied to log management. Each participating protocol undergoes an independent review, with results disclosed publicly.

The foundation has also established the Solana Incident Response Network (SIRN), a coalition of security firms that will coordinate real-time responses to active threats. Members of SIRN will share threat intelligence, contribute to the evolution of the STRIDE framework, and work together to strengthen DeFi security.
