Strategy Boosts Bitcoin Holdings with $204 Million Purchase
Strategy, a US-based enterprise software company, has continued to expand its significant stake in Bitcoin by purchasing 3,015 additional BTC for around $204 million. The acquisition was made at an average price of approximately $67,700 per token, which is below the company's overall cost basis.
The company now holds 720,737 BTC, valued at roughly $54.77 billion, with an average cost basis of $75,985 per coin. Strategy has been gradually increasing its Bitcoin holdings over the past few years by issuing equity and convertible debt to finance purchases.
Strategy's significant stake in Bitcoin makes it one of the largest corporate holders of the digital asset globally, controlling approximately 3-4% of Bitcoin's total circulating supply. The company's ability to continue raising capital is dependent on sustained investor appetite for crypto exposure and broader liquidity conditions.
