Trump's White House Becomes '24/7 Corruption Operation'
U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) spoke on the floor of the U.S. Senate to expose unprecedented corruption in President Trump's second term.
The senator highlighted egregious instances where Trump, his family, and administration members used their power to enrich themselves and benefit billionaire donors at the expense of taxpayers.
Murphy stated that over the last 500 days, 'the White House has turned into a 24/7 corruption operation.'
The senator pointed out that President Trump's goal is to engage in so much corruption that it becomes normal and people stop paying attention. He noted that this moment is exceptional and if it becomes normal, there will be no going back.
Murphy detailed several instances of corruption, including:
The current acting Attorney General, Todd Blanche, shutting down crypto investigations while holding up to $500,000 in crypto investments.
The Department of Agriculture reversing a rule that protects consumers to benefit Trump donor Pilgrims Pride.
Trump pardoning Paul Walczak, a major donor who pleaded guilty to tax crimes, after his mother paid for a meeting with the president.
Stephen Miller holding stock in Palantir, which received a $30 billion ICE contract.
