Bhutan Sells $72.3 Million in Bitcoin Amid Market Downturn
The Kingdom of Bhutan has been actively managing its Bitcoin reserves, with recent data showing the country selling off significant portions of its holdings. In the past 24 hours alone, Druk Holding and Investments (DHI), a state-owned investment company responsible for managing the country's Bitcoin mining operations and crypto investments, transferred over $72.3 million in Bitcoin.
This move is part of Bhutan's efforts to support its long-term economic development through its Bitcoin stash and mining operations. The country has been selling portions of its holdings periodically, with a particularly heavy period of selling observed around mid-late September 2025.
