California Duo Accused of Laundering Crypto Tied to Darknet Fentanyl Sales

Two California residents have been accused of operating a darknet drug trafficking network that allegedly generated hundreds of thousands of dollars in cryptocurrency from fentanyl and methamphetamine sales.

The pair, Nicholas Aguilar and Jessica Marcolina, were indicted by a federal grand jury on July 15, 2026, on charges of drug trafficking and laundering cryptocurrency proceeds.

According to prosecutors, the defendants operated vendor accounts under the name 'HotGirlzClub' across multiple darknet marketplaces, distributing fentanyl and methamphetamine to customers nationwide.

The operation allegedly used cryptocurrency transactions to disguise the source and ownership of proceeds generated from the illegal drug sales. Investigators claim the laundering activity involved hundreds of thousands of dollars in digital assets.
