BetFury Rolls Out Bitcoin Lightning USDT Payments with Utexo Partnership

Crypto casino BetFury is teaming up with Utexo to bring Bitcoin Lightning-based USDT payments to its platform this summer, marking one of the first major deployments of the technology in iGaming. The integration will allow users to deposit and withdraw USDT quickly and easily, addressing a long-standing issue in the industry.

According to Utexo co-founder Viktor Ihnatiuk, the rollout is an early test of a larger thesis: that stablecoin activity can return to Bitcoin after years of growth on networks like Tron and Ethereum. BetFury's large user base and processing history make it an ideal partner for this project.

Ihnatiuk explained that existing payment methods often leave operators with problems related to speed, cost, and privacy, saying 'Players want to withdraw and get [their] money ASAP and start to gamble.' Utexo charges a fixed rate of 10-50 basis points for its services, depending on the use case.

The partnership aims to bring cost predictability and instant settlement to operators, with Ihnatiuk stating that 'With our solution, settlement happens instantly because of the nature of the Bitcoin Lightning Network.'
