Ripple Teams with Flutterwave to Revolutionize Cross-Border Payments in Nigeria

Nigeria has taken center stage in Ripple's RLUSD bet as the company announces a strategic partnership with Flutterwave, one of Nigeria's largest payment companies.

The investment, which was part of Flutterwave's Series E round, valued the company at $3.2 billion and will see Ripple integrate its global payment network, the XRP Ledger (XRPL), and stablecoin RLUSD into Flutterwave's infrastructure.

This partnership aims to replace a large portion of international payment complexity by using stablecoin-based blockchain infrastructure.

Flutterwave currently handles payments for millions of consumers and businesses throughout Africa, but most international transactions still go through conventional banking channels, which can take several days.
