Bithumb Seeks Recovery of Lost Bitcoin Amid Regulatory Debate
Bithumb, a South Korean cryptocurrency exchange, is working to recover the remaining 7 Bitcoin lost in a system error that occurred in February. The incident resulted in the transfer of 620,000 Bitcoin worth around $42 billion, but most of the funds were recovered within minutes.
However, Bithumb was unable to retrieve 1,788 BTC and has since filed for a provisional asset freeze targeting users who have yet to return the funds. This move suggests that the company is taking a firm stance in its efforts to recover the lost assets.
