Axelar Integrates Solana Mainnet with 70+ Blockchains

Axelar, a decentralized blockchain network, has integrated its Solana mainnet with over 70 blockchains, enabling cross-chain messaging and asset transfers. This integration uses Axelar's General Message Passing (GMP) protocol for arbitrary cross-chain messaging and the Interchain Token Service (ITS) for token transfers.

The connection provides developers and projects with additional tools for cross-chain messaging and asset transfers across different execution environments. Solana users can now interact with smart contracts on other supported chains, while assets can move between Solana and the broader Axelar network.

Solana's integration with Axelar has sparked interest in its ecosystem, with Stronghold expanding its native utility token to Solana and SaucerSwap routing assets from Solana into its trading and liquidity pools. Additionally, Squid Router supports asset transfers to and from Solana from the outset.
