EU Introduces New Sanctions Package Targeting Crypto Services
The European Union (EU) has introduced a new set of sanctions against Russia, aimed at further restricting the country's access to financial markets. One key aspect of this package is the proposed restrictions on cryptocurrency services, which are seen as potential avenues for evading sanctions.
According to official sources, the EU will toughen its stance on crypto-asset service providers in certain countries, and has blacklisted 11 platforms suspected of being involved in sanctions evasion. While the names of these platforms have not been publicly disclosed, the move is seen as an attempt to broaden the scope of financial restrictions against Russia.
