Revolut Delists USDT Amid Regulatory Pressure
Revolut has announced that it will be delisting USDT from its crypto offerings by August 31, 2026. This decision comes as part of the company's efforts to comply with changing regulatory requirements and manage risk on its platform. As of July 6, 2026, users will no longer be able to purchase USDT on Revolut.
Existing USDT holders have until August 31st to sell or withdraw their tokens before the final delisting deadline. Any remaining USDT after this date will be automatically converted into the user's base currency at the prevailing exchange rate, and the funds will be credited to their Revolut balance within seven business days.
This move follows a series of decisions by European crypto firms to tweak their stablecoin products in response to the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework. The regulatory requirements for stablecoins have become more stringent, and some exchanges and brokers have already restricted or banned support for USDT due to compliance concerns.
