Ripple Secures Full MiCA Approval in Luxembourg as EU Enters Post-Transition Era
Ripple has received full approval from Luxembourg's financial regulator to operate as a Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) in Europe. This comes after the company was authorized in June under its existing Electronic Money Institution license.
The CASP authorization enables Ripple to offer crypto-asset services throughout the European Economic Area with just one license, thanks to the EU's MiCA framework.
Cassie Craddock, Ripple's managing director for the UK and Europe, said 'This CASP authorisation means Ripple enters the post-transitional MiCA era fully compliant and ready to scale.'
Ripple currently holds over 75 regulatory licenses worldwide, including authorization from the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
