Azuki Expands Anime Reach with Studio Venture
Azuki, a company that started out in NFTs, has made significant strides in its anime studio venture. Studio Azuki was established in July 2025 as a joint venture with Tokyo's COMISMA Inc. and Xenotoon Inc. The studio is based in the U.S. and focuses on developing original IP and anime adaptations.
The company's Head of Content, Feb Tea, emphasized the importance of this venture: 'With a global-first, creator-centric, and social-native approach, Studio Azuki is our bold step toward building the next generation of anime, one that empowers creators, & connects directly with fans.'
Westbrook Inc., founded by Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith, has also partnered with Studio Azuki. This partnership aims to bring the studio's production work to a wider audience.
