Bitcoin Plunges Below $68K Amid $1 Billion in Liquidations
The cryptocurrency market is experiencing a sharp decline, with the total value of liquidated positions reaching a new milestone. According to data from CoinGlass, over $1 billion worth of leveraged positions have been wiped out in the past day, with longs accounting for approximately 90% of these losses.
The collapse of bitcoin's price below $68,000 has had a ripple effect on the market, causing many altcoins to decline as well. However, their losses are not as severe as those experienced by BTC, leading some to speculate about the reasons behind its particularly painful drop.
