Ondo Finance Brings Voting Rights to Tokenized Securities
Ondo Finance has made a significant move in the world of tokenized securities by adding voting rights for users. This development aims to bridge the gap between traditional brokerage ownership and blockchain-based stock exposure.
The update, which uses Broadridge technology, provides proxy tools and filings for wallet users. It also gives holders access to over 250 tokenized products, including issuer communications, regulatory filings, prospectuses, and other shareholder documents.
This move is significant as it addresses a common criticism of tokenized equities, that they often lack governance tools tied to underlying shares. By providing voting rights, Ondo Finance aims to make its product more appealing to institutions that demand familiar ownership processes.
