Ethereum Foundation Unstakes $49 Million in Staked ETH

The Ethereum Foundation's recent unstaking operation has left market participants questioning the organization's motives.

According to blockchain analytics firm Arkham Intelligence, the foundation withdrew 17,035 ETH valued at approximately $49 million through Lido's unstETH contract on Saturday, April 26, 2026.

The assets will be converted into liquid ETH once the withdrawal queue is completed. The Ethereum Foundation has not provided an official explanation for this significant move, fueling market speculation about potential sales.
