Strategy Inc. Surpasses BlackRock's Bitcoin Reserves with Record Purchase

Strategy Inc., a prominent player in the cryptocurrency markets, has achieved a historic milestone in its institutional Bitcoin holdings. The company's most recent purchase, which amounts to 24,869 BTC worth $2.01 billion, marks its second-largest weekly acquisition ever, with an average price of $80,985 per Bitcoin.

The purchase brings Strategy Inc.'s total Bitcoin reserves to 843,738 BTC, surpassing BlackRock's spot Bitcoin ETF, which previously held approximately 817,000 BTC. This move solidifies the company's position as a major institutional investor in Bitcoin, with its accumulated holdings nearly triple the amount of Bitcoin mined globally over the same period.

Industry observers note that this significant demand for Bitcoin highlights the vastly outpacing new supply in the market. Despite recent price declines and macroeconomic pressures, Strategy Inc.'s purchases have not prevented the company from reaching this milestone.
