Citrea Cryptocurrency Goes Live on Kraken Exchange

Citrea (CTR), a innovative cryptocurrency project, has been listed on Kraken for trading. CTR is the first ZK rollup secured by Bitcoin, allowing for programmable smart contracts and a composable application layer without compromising the security model of the largest blockchain.

The network is built around a Type 2 zkEVM that verifies zero-knowledge proofs on-chain via BitVM, and is anchored by Clementine, the first trust-minimized BTC bridge, and ctUSD, a native Bitcoin stablecoin issued by MoonPay. CTR holders stake their tokens to receive xCTR, a vote-escrow token used to govern emissions, liquidity incentives, council membership, and infrastructure providers across the network.

Geographic restrictions may apply for trading CTR on Kraken. The platform has stated that it will not reveal details about future asset listings until shortly before launch.
