Warsh Confirmed as Fed Chair Amid Crypto Holdings Disclosure

Kevin Warsh's appointment as Federal Reserve Chair has been finalized. On January 30, 2026, President Trump nominated him for the position.

The Senate confirmed his appointment on May 13, 2026, with a vote of 54-45.

Warsh was sworn in as the 17th Fed chair on May 22, 2026.

Before taking up the role, Warsh previously served as a Fed governor from 2006 to 2011.

He also holds equity stakes in over a dozen crypto-related ventures and has pledged to sell these shares upon confirmation of his appointment.
