Soluna Holdings Acquires Briscoe Wind Farm in Texas

Soluna Holdings has expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of the Briscoe Wind Farm in Texas. The 150-MW wind farm will provide renewable power to Soluna's data and cryptocurrency mining facilities, including Project Dorothy.

Project Dorothy is a significant undertaking for Soluna, with plans to triple its computing capacity. The project is named after Dorothy Vaughn, an African American computer scientist who played a crucial role in the development of NASA's flight systems.

The Briscoe Wind Farm features 81 GE Vernova turbines and will be interconnected into the Electric Reliability Council of Texas grid system. Soluna has also partnered with Canaan Inc. to deploy Bitcoin mining technology at the site, which is expected to begin this year.
