Coinbase Adds Stock Portfolio Transfers via ACATS

Coinbase has taken another step in its expansion beyond cryptocurrency trading by introducing stock portfolio transfers via ACATS (Automated Customer Account Transfer Service) for U.S. users.

The move enables customers to transfer their entire brokerage portfolios, including stocks and ETFs, directly onto the Coinbase platform without liquidating their holdings.

This builds on Coinbase's existing stock and ETF trading service launched earlier in 2026, which offered access to approximately 6,000 securities.

The integration of ACATS positions Coinbase as a more comprehensive financial platform, competing directly with traditional brokerages like Robinhood.
