Trump's Memecoin Holders Lose Over $3.8 Billion as Token Plummets

US President Donald Trump's memecoin, Official Trump (TRUMP), has lost its holders over $3.8 billion as of June, a report by analytics firm Nansen shows. The token peaked at $73 in January this year but has since fallen to around $1.70 on CoinGecko.

Nearly 1 million TRUMP buyers have absorbed the losses, with two-thirds of them losing money on the memecoin. In total, these holders lost a combined $3.81 billion, while just under half a million wallets recorded a profit totaling $4 billion.

The report comes days after Trump's annual financial disclosure revealed he earned more than $1.4 billion from his crypto-related ventures last year. The disclosure also showed that the president made over $630 million on TRUMP memecoin, while all buyers of the token made a net profit of around $200 million in comparison.

Nansen analyzed another token tied to Trump's World Liberty Financial (WLFI) platform and found that nearly 85% of its holders had recorded a loss, totaling $83 million. However, those who bought WLFI at 5 cents have likely made a small profit, with the remaining wallets profiting a total of $23 million.
