Cardano Foundation CEO Outlines Optimistic Predictions for ADA's Future Growth

Cardano Foundation CEO Frederik Gregaard recently spoke at a Spaces broadcast about the Cardano blockchain ecosystem's current developments and future plans.

Gregaard emphasized the alignment between the Cardano Foundation and Input Output Global (IOG) regarding the pace of the 70 million ADA distribution. He stated that this collaboration has led to significant progress, with many teams working closely together under a shared vision.

The integration of Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol into the Cardano ecosystem was also discussed. An IBC hackathon is planned for the Builder Fest event in 2026, and Gregaard will be organizing presentations and practical sessions to facilitate further development.

Gregaard highlighted several real-world integrations, including payments with ADA in 137 stores across Switzerland through partnerships with Open Crypto Pay and Utrust. He noted that these collaborations provide users with the convenience of on-chain settlement and low transaction fees.
