Metaplanet Buys 2,823 BTC at Steep Premium to Current Price

Metaplanet, a Tokyo-listed company building a Bitcoin treasury, has made another significant purchase of the cryptocurrency. The firm acquired nearly 3,000 BTC in Q2 at an average price near $80,000.

The purchase came at a steep premium to Metaplanet's own quarter-end market reference, with the current price of Bitcoin at $60,434 as of press time.

Metaplanet generated nearly $11 million from its Bitcoin Income Generation business during the quarter, which lowered the effective acquisition price to about $75,800 per BTC.
