Stablecoin Donations on the Rise in Crypto Philanthropy

The use of stablecoins in crypto philanthropy has seen a significant surge in recent years, with platforms like Giving Block reporting a major shift in donations using these digital assets.

According to the Giving Block's annual report, more than $100 million in crypto donations were facilitated in 2025, with over $32 million coming through stablecoins such as USDC and RLUSD. This represents a notable increase compared to previous years, with the platform citing the growing recognition of stablecoins as cash-equivalent assets.

The trend is expected to continue, with the Giving Block projecting up to $2.5 billion in total crypto donations. The increasing use of stablecoins can be attributed to their perceived stability and lower volatility compared to other cryptocurrencies.
