Coinbase Expands EU Services with MiCA License

Coinbase has obtained a MiCA license in Luxembourg, allowing it to expand its services across all 27 European Union member states.

The company received the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) license from the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF), Luxembourg's financial regulator. This development comes as Coinbase plans to use Luxembourg as a hub for its European crypto business.

The MiCA license enables Coinbase to offer crypto-related products and services across the EU under a single regulatory framework, covering approximately 450 million people.

Coinbase stated that this license will strengthen its regulation-friendly business base in Europe and support an expansion of crypto services for institutional and retail investors.
