SIREN Overtakes Pi Network in Total Market Capitalization
The cryptocurrency market is known for its volatility, but recent developments have left many investors surprised. Pi Network (PI), once a promising altcoin, has seen its price plummet in recent days, falling to $0.19 after reaching a high of nearly $0.30 in November.
This decline is not unique to PI, as the broader market has been experiencing a downturn. Bitcoin's price has dropped below $70K and is down more than 10% since last week, causing many altcoins to lose value as well.
However, one cryptocurrency stands out from the rest: SIREN. This altcoin has seen its value surge by over 95% in the past 24 hours, surpassing PI's total market capitalization of $1.88 billion and reaching a new high of over $2 billion.
SIREN's impressive gains have been driven by significant activity, with a 24-hour trading volume of over $150 million. The majority of this trading is taking place on the decentralized exchange PancakeSwap, with nearly $50 million in trades within the last day alone.
