Ripple Secures CASP License to Expand Regulated Crypto Services Across Europe
Ripple has secured preliminary approval for a Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) license under the European Union's Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) framework, issued by Luxembourg's Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF).
The CASP and Electronic Money Institution (EMI) licenses will enable Ripple to scale regulated cryptoasset services across 30 European Economic Area countries.
Ripple Payments has processed over $100 billion in transaction volume and operates in more than 60 global markets, with a strong presence in the European region supported by relationships with major financial institutions.
