SEC Meets with Hyperliquid and Trade[XYZ] on Digital Asset Regulation

The US Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) Crypto Task Force held a meeting with representatives from Hyperliquid, Trade[XYZ], and Sullivan & Cromwell LLP to discuss regulatory approaches to digital assets.

The meeting was requested by the participating organizations and focused on broader issues related to crypto asset regulation. Attendees included CEO Jake Chervinsky and Bradley Bourque from Hyperliquid Policy Center, as well as Jeff Yan and Iliensinc from Hyperliquid Labs.

The SEC has recently outlined a broader regulatory agenda that includes proposed rules for crypto asset offerings, broker-dealer obligations, custody requirements, and digital asset market structure. The agency has also engaged with other industry participants through its Crypto Task Force, established to evaluate regulatory issues in blockchain-based financial markets.
