Ukrainian Officials Lead in Crypto Declarations Amid Growing Adoption
Ukrainian officials have led in the number of cryptocurrency declarations filed in 2025, according to data from Opendatabot. The National Police remain in the lead with 548 declarations, accounting for 19.2% of all such declarations. Employees of the Prosecutor's Office followed closely behind with 358 declarations, or 12.5%. Service members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also made a significant number of declarations, filing 240.
The breakdown by region shows that the highest number of cryptocurrency declarations was filed in Kyiv, with 820 submissions. The second and third places went to the Kyiv region with 277 declarations and the Dnipropetrovsk region with 215. In total, Ukrainian officials filed 2,861 cryptocurrency declarations in 2025, which is a 16% increase from 2024.
The data also highlights the increasing presence of digital assets in asset disclosures from the security, law enforcement, and judicial sectors. This underscores the importance of financial monitoring, anti-corruption verification of the origin of funds, and accurate valuation of crypto assets in these declarations.
